I don't know why peaches & giggles go together but as you can see they do-

Back to School

Hard to believe Paige (10) is in 5th grade and Kate (7) is in 2nd. If we can just make it to next year when Garrett (4) goes to school life will be good.

This is now Paige's 6th year at this school. Hard to believe we have been in one place for so long.

They only get this first week of school and then we take them out next week to go to Disneyland!!

I should have known better than to leave Jeff to dress himself for the wedding.

After the ceremony, I was getting after him again for the way he was dressed.

His reply was..."Lower your expectations!"

End Of Summer

Though hard for you Arizona folks to believe we still haven't started school yet. That glorious event, according to Mindy, starts on Monday.

So we are still swimming, beaching and plain just hanging out.

Last Saturday we did our last hurah at the beach and Paige showed off her surfing skills acquired during Junior Lifeguards. She can even jump around on the board. I better watch out.

But the best part of summer being over is that our real summer can start. That is September and October, the best beach months of all. No tourists clogging up the beaches and beautiful, warm sunny days.

Visitors from the Northeast (once again)

Brent & April and Fam came down last weekend.

It was a quick trip but we all had a BLAST hanging out together!

The Shower

Here are some pictures from Melanie's shower. It was fun to see so many old friends and family.

Melanie got lot's of good loot. Linnea and I were drooling over all the nifty stuff she got for the kitchen. We decided we want to throw everything away and restock with all of Melanie's new stuff. How 'bout it Melanie??

New Apple at our House

We just got a new Apple Product at our house.....

Nope, it wasn't an iPhone (I wish...my birthday is on the 26th).

Our old Power Mac G4 was almost 8 years old... It was long over due to be updated. We got our new iMac today. Ahhhh.... Speed at last!

Anyway...

We have updated our web page to include a Web Gallery. It is a new thing from Apple. I can publish my photos online and anyone can look at them and download them. The cool new thing is that they can also upload photos to share with others.

For example, I posted photos from Logan's Baptism. If anyone who lives in Arizona (and loves us) that came to the Baptism and has any related photos that they want to share they can upload them to share with everyone else who came.

This will be especially cool for Melanie's Wedding. We can all share full quality photos with each other.

HOT HOT HOT

School may have started this week BUT it's still hot & when it's hot it's time to swim!
Everyone had fun & cooled off last Saturday-

And then there were some who tried to empty the pool with their HUGE splashes!

Last Week Continued...

Everyone needs a get-away to the great outdoors, bears and all! But I will have to say though, that my heart did skip a beat when I saw the bear! As we met eyes, he continued into the forest while I quickly pulled Emma Lee and Bryce (Sabrina's other cousin) home in the wagon. Needless to say, I was not jogging in the mornings after that incident!

It was great to see Logan baptized. Glenn and I thought that there would have to be a double or triple dunking - the water level was so low. But Brent did a nice job!

Show Low Life is so much like the life where I grew up (Bruno NE). It's much more slow placed and the boys just had a wonderful time running around outside, flipping skateboards, riding bikes and best of all - playing in the dirt!

During the RAIN and THUNDER storms at approximately 3pm each day... there was time for Battleship, Chess, Shipwrecked and UNO!



There was plenty of time for fishing too. On one outting, Uncle Brent caught a fish - a rainbow trout I think. And on our last day, Glenn took the three fearless fisherboys out at 5am and they came home with...



Mason - a small fish (threw it back), then another small fish (threw it back too)

Ben - a small fish (threw it back)

Zach - a duck (talk to Zach about that)

They had a great time and our boys are excited about going back again to try their luck!

Now, the boys didn't have all the fun... need I say more!

What a wonderful weekend we all had! Can't wait to go back to BEAR Country and hang out with the cousins. Thanks Brent and April!

Last Week

Last week was busy-
We were so happy to be at Logan's baptism on the 28th of July



Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of Luke; it's a good thing you can get blessed without at picture!!

Brent & April had a house full & then some!


Monday we flew to Salt Lake to visit with Dad's uncle, Donald Parkinson. He had some pictures that he wanted to share with us. So we scanned pictures & recorded him telling about each one of them. We got some good stuff!

Logan's Baptism/Birthday - Luke's Blessing

We started Logans Party at the City Pool.

Then we went to the park for a waterballoon fight.

Then Cake and Presents.

Logan was Baptized on Saturday

Luke was blessed on Sunday.
